Performing Arts

Music and drama are important elements of CGS life, helping students to enjoy, achieve and belong.  There is a strong tradition of performing arts at CGS.  Our annual school show, music concerts and House Performing Arts competition all enable students to get involved.

In drama many students enjoy performing but we also have a dedicated technical crew who provide backstage lighting or sound expertise.  There is a Drama Club, as well as Glee Club and Technical Club.

In music, all students take part in lessons at KS3 with many opting for instrumental lessons in or out of school.  We have a wide range of musical groups from choir to orchestra and from brass group to flute choir.

A range of concerts are held, with students given the opportunity to perform in a low-stakes, supportive environment at one of our 'Chill Concerts', through to our Christmas and Spring Concerts.
