Sixth Form Supports Anthony Nolan

Earlier this month, our Sixth Form students took part in a series of presentations delivered by The Hero Project, an education programme run by blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan. The sessions highlighted the importance of stem cell, blood and organ donation and how young people can play a vital role in saving lives.

Following the talks, an Anthony Nolan donor recruitment event was held in the Sixth Form Centre, giving students the opportunity to join the stem cell register.

We are delighted to share that an incredible 86 students and staff signed up and are now potential lifesaving donors. Anthony Nolan's vital work matches donors with people affected by blood cancers and blood disorders, providing stem cell transplants that can offer a second chance at life.

A huge thank you to everyone who registered, and to our Year 13 students who helped organise and run the event.
