Promoting British Values

Chesham Grammar School prepares students for life in modern Britain effectively, developing their understanding of the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. 

At CGS, the fundamental British values are taught through the curriculum – with a key focus on the values in Life Skills. In addition to the curriculum, Fundamental British Values are also addressed through: 

·                  the assembly programme  

·                  Character curriculum

·                  wider opportunities (eg visiting speakers, educational visits).
