Work Experience

Work experienceWork shadowing: Parents of Year 8 students are encouraged to participate in a “take your child to work day.”

Work experience: Year 11 students are encouraged to undertake work experience after GCSE exams. Work experience is also an integral part of the Sixth Form programme in Year 12 or in the autumn of Year 13.

Year 11 and Year 12 Work experience form:

We strongly encourage all students to undertake work experience after their GCSE examinations (if they are 16 years old) and during Year 12. This is a parent/child arranged work experience, where students and parents take responsibility for organising the placement and responsibility for the duty of care of the student whilst on placement.

Students are asked to log their work shadowing and work experience on Unifrog.  Parents can inform the school by completing the online form below with details of any arranged work placements.  This form can also be used to inform the school of any voluntary work.
