Careers Fair

All years welcome

We hold a Careers Fair biennially.  This is a popular and impressive event, attended by a wide range of higher education providers and employers.  

Our next fair will take place on Wednesday, 12th March 2025 from 6.30-9pm.  If you would like to have a stall to represent your company or educational institution, please contact us via email on careers-convention@cheshamgrammar.org.

CGS students & families are invited to attend this popular event which provides an opportunity for young people to find out more about careers and education opportunities.   
 

Our exhibitors include

• Representatives from industry sectors including legal, finance & banking, technology, construction, teaching, medicine, engineering, veterinary plus many more who are able to talk about their career path and what it’s really like to work in their chosen field.
• Representatives from the creative industries
• A wide selection of universities and colleges
• Apprenticeship specialists
   

Why students should attend

• Visitors are able to talk to people from different backgrounds and about what their job involves
• Exhibitors discuss qualifications and experience.
• Students can find out what skills, qualifications and attributes employers are looking for
• The event helps students with their options choices
• University exhibitors provide generic advice on UCAS applications, finance and university life
• Students will be able to discuss work experience possibilities with some of the exhibitors
• Some of the exhibitors will be able to discuss apprenticeship vacancies
• There will be talks throughout the evening on student finance, apprenticeships and applying to university
